Client Journey

Arriving At A Design

Most projects start with a visit to your home to gain a full understanding of what you want to achieve from your new room and assess the architectural style and detail of your home. A detailed survey is undertaken and ideas and options are discussed.

Every project is designed to fulfil your requirement for living, whilst providing a design brief that will compliment your home, and our designer will work closely with one of our concept artists to provide an exceptional design unique to you which will be accompanied with a detailed quotation.

Our designers understand what an important decision this project will be and know from experience that your new room will be a transformative 'lifestyle' change and become the focal point for you and your family all year round.

Working with Architects

Vale have ongoing, professional relationships with many architects and practices throughout the UK who regularly return to us, confident and assured that their clients will obtain the best product and service available.

This close relationship is also essential if your architect is working with us for the first time. We work hard to ensure that all elements of the design are carefully considered, with each of our professionals offering advice and assistance to find practical and well thought out solutions. This is especially important when complicated planning applications and listed building consents are required which incorporate other elements of building within the overall scheme.

Planning, Listed Buildings &
Other Approvals

We have a dedicated department at Vale that have been working on behalf of our clients for over 30 years obtaining planning permission and listed building consent. Having come across almost every local authority across the UK and every sensitive situation, there isn’t much that we haven’t experienced or had to work our way through.

Many of our projects will also require SAP calcs, structural calcs, and frequently building control approval if the overall scheme requires it. We take all this in our stride and aim to make the whole process as seamless as possible.

Our Technical Office

Following approvals your project moves through to our technical department where a dedicated Project Technician and Client Co-ordinator will be assigned to your project. The technician will work with you and the designer to complete a detailed set of drawings covering every aspect of the build. The co-ordinator will guide you through the various stages of your project and be your main point of contact.

We prepare dedicated packs for the builder, electrician and decorator which contain all the detailed working drawings required to carry out the preparatory work prior to the installation of your new conservatory or orangery.

Building Your Room

Your project is then issued into production and the complex process of making and bringing all parts together begins, culminating in the pre-installation department where the whole structure is assembled, and decorative elements applied.

We encourage all clients to come and see their project at this exciting stage as it is a great opportunity to get a feel for size of the room and to visualise how it will be furnished and used.

It is then dismantled and built on site by a dedicated team of skilled joiners, overseen and coordinated by your Site Project Manager. Having been pre-installed, the full process of installation will proceed with diligence and speed, and associated products and services dovetailed into the build.

We are recognised for the quality and precision of our leadwork and you can therefore be confident that the important job of ensuring the build is correctly sealed to your house and all other architecture leadwork is carried out to exceptional standards.
